Throwback Game

Iowa Football Equipment Manager, Greg Morris shows off the helmet that will be used by the team when Ball State comes to Kinnick Stadium September 25th. On that day the Hawkeyes will be wearing uniforms honoring the 1959 Rose Bowl team. Morris shows off the backside of the helmet honoring that game. Below is another way to honor the team. Each helmet will display the name of the member of the '59 team that wore the corresponding number. For example the #45 helmet will have Bernie Wyatt's name displayed across the front. Morris also plans on giving a bio of the '59 team member to the current numbered Hawkeye the week leading up to the game.
