After taking a quick 14-0 lead, the Hawkeyes had to hold on to a 24-21 win over Sun Belt Conference representative Arkansas State. Touchdowns to Trey Stross and Marvin McNutt in the first six minutes of the game were the only points Iowa could muster until the second half. A spirited Red Wolves team continued to give Iowa a fight throughout the game, but the Hawkeyes held on for victory, its fifth straight of the year.
Now the Hawkeyes take on the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday night.
