Hoosier Hawkeye Photos

Always nice to be back in the comfortable surroundings of Kinnick Stadium. Iowa finishes the season with three of their final four games at home. That stretch began Halloween morning with a visit from the Indiana Hoosiers.

This week brought yet another new announcing crew to the Hawkeye broadcasts. ESPN's Mark Jones and Bob Davie are in the Kinnick Stadium Press Box to watch as the Hawkeyes improve their record to 9-0.

Customary with other conference games this year, I have my picture taken with the Video Coordinator of the opposing team. This is Joel Baron of Indiana.

Unable to fully attend Varsity Club weekend in September, the 25th anniversary of the Iowa Basketball Final Four team celebrated this past weekend in Iowa City. All members of the 79-80 basketball team were able to attend. On the Hawkeye Sports Radio Network at halftime was the coach of that team, Lute Olson.

Olson stepped down two years ago, but the 79-80 team is the most recent Iowa basketball squad to make the Men's Final Four.

Thad Walters got a once in a lifetime opportunity to job shadow the Iowa Video Staff on gameday. Thad was introduced to me by the Goodwill Corporation and its branch office in Cedar Rapids. Along with attending Saturday's football game, Thursday Thad sat in on the video breakdowns for the coaches.
