The T Ball season has finally come to an end. Two weeks ago we believed the season would conclude while Colin and I were on vacation. However, the rains forced another postponement a week ago and finally tonight, the game was played. This was a two-inning game as both teams were losing interest; both coaching staffs were also losing patience.

Rockies - Padres
Unless next week's game is rained out, tonight was the last game for Colin and I. Tonight's game was made up from a rain out in June. Played under cool and windy conditions with a chance of rain, there was good and bad in the performance. While one of our best performances of the year came after a two week lay off due to weather, it may be safe to say that playing the second game in as many days had the opposite effect. Execution in the field was less than desirable, yet the second inning had the best performances at the plate of any one inning this year. The tee was not brought out for one batter.

Rockies - Phillies...Play Ball
A week after the initial match-up was suspended by rain, the Rockies and Phillies got together to make up the game. Both teams had great representation on a night where the sun made it very warm. Many of the five / six - year olds had a tough time dealing with the heat.

Rockies' Night at the Kernels Game
What began as Coralville Rockies Night at the Kernels game turned into two of its members watching Cedar Rapids take on Fort Wayne. It was another comfortable night at Perfect Game Park.

Rockies - Phillies...Play Suspended
Its Tuesday so that means it is either T Ball Night, or otherwise "Storms in the Coralville Area" night. However tonight play made its way into the bottom of the first before lightning and heavy rain entered the area. Teams are looking at trying to make up the game on Monday, July 13.

Rockies - Yankees
After two weeks of rainouts, it was a cloudy and cool evening on Coraliville's ST Morrison South's diamond. The hometown favorite Rockies took on the Coralville Yankees. The long layoff didn't affect the travelling purple team. The first inning showed much promise as execution in the field was good and the bats came alive. The next two innings were good but many of the young player's attention spans quickly waned.

Rockies - Dodgers
I'll take the tie tonight, but I'm afraid going on total runs, we may have lost tonight. The Rockies were short a few players who were visiting grandparents, this first week after the summer dismissal from school. The Rockies played a Dodgers team that played a bit better than the A's team of a week ago. Much room for improvement and we look forward to the rest of the season.
Only able to take one base at a time, Colin advances to second. The right side of the infield. In t ball, the right fielder plays inside the grass.
