Rockies - Padres

Unless next week's game is rained out, tonight was the last game for Colin and I. Tonight's game was made up from a rain out in June. Played under cool and windy conditions with a chance of rain, there was good and bad in the performance. While one of our best performances of the year came after a two week lay off due to weather, it may be safe to say that playing the second game in as many days had the opposite effect. Execution in the field was less than desirable, yet the second inning had the best performances at the plate of any one inning this year. The tee was not brought out for one batter.

This is the 2009 edition of the Coralville Rockies. Front Row:(L-R) Ava Johnson, Baylee O'Connor, Madeline Negley, and Kennedy Bombei. Middle Row:(L-R) Carson Lamb, John Syata, Grey Christian, Ben Peterson, Dane Christian, Colin Engelbert, and Jack Osland. Back Row: (L-R) Coaches Scott Osland, Matthew Engelbert, and Eric Bombei. (Not Pictured Gillian Biscupski and Ashley Dyson).

The Middle Infield in the second inning. Colin and Baylee had the middle of the infield covered. Kennedy played off second base.

Colin races home from third to score a run for the Rockies.

The team's attention span begins to waver. Ben checking out what he can see with the glove in his face. Colin at third kicking his heels up in excitement to play with his teammates.

Colin and I watch the '09 season come to a conclusion, but we can't wait for the 2010 season to begin.
