The 2010 Iowa Michigan State football game occurred again in 2011, but it was Michigan State who took the commanding lead for the eventual win. With the victory, the Spartans are in the driver's seat for the Legends Division title and spot in the inaugural Big Ten Championship game with the win over Iowa 37-21. With the loss the Hawkeyes look to improve their bowl status the last two weeks as they will have to do it on the road at Purdue and Nebraska.
