The fourth and final game of the Iowa Hawkeyes non-conference schedule was compteted today as the home town team defeated the Louisiana - Monroe Warhawks 45-17.
Iowa continued off the momentum of their previous week's win over Pitt and came out with a no-huddle offense. James Vandenberg guided a sharp offensive attack down the field and scored the first touchdown of the day and the Hawkeyes never looked back.
Closing out the non-conference portion of the schedule, the Hawkeyes move into Big Ten play with a 3-1 record. Next week is Iowa's only bye week of 2011. On October 8th, Iowa tries to open league play with a win at Penn State.
